Send from "to" account

Steve Freides

I maintain multiple email accounts. As a rule, I would like to reply from
the account to which an email is addressed but I see that all my replies go
out from my default account unless I remember to change the account before I
send.

Is there a setting somewhere to allow it to work the way I want? I'm using
Outlook 2003.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, Outlook works the way you want -- it always replies using the
account that the message arrived on. If you're seeing something different,
provide more details about your mail accounts.

If I understand Steve correctly, he is trying to do the same thing I am. Not just when replying to an email, but when I am sending one and want it to be from a particular address, it would be nice if there was a place that showed the address it was being sent from, to help us forgetful folks to change it before sending. I have seen this on Outlook Express

There is a place that shows what account is being used to send a message.
Click the Accounts button in the Compose window. The account being used
will appear above the horizonal line, while the accounts from which to
choose appear below the line.

Hey, you're right! I don't know how I missed that!
