Sending Hotmail

For some reason, when I send hotmail through outlook, it
takes a couple of days for people to receive it. It
appears in my sent folder immediatly though. What is
causing this delay, and how can I fix it?

You can't. Once you've sent it you can't control it anymore. Most likely it
gets stuck at a mailserver that's about to die or seriously occupied by SPAM
and virus attacks. See if sending it from within the webinterface of Hotmail
speeds up the process and try again from within Outlook within a couple of
days.
