Sending mail via hotmail through outlook

I had been using Outlook for a couple of months to access
my hotmail account. About two weeks ago my mail stopped
going through to the recipients when I use outlook. I
send messages and they seem to go through fine, I get no
error messages or anything.... I can connect to
hotmail.com and send mail without any problem. Does
anyone have any suggestions as to why I am unable to send
messages or why my repients are not getting them?
