sent items folder problem

i send email and it is not saved in the sent items folder.
the box is checked in "options" to save all outgoing
messages, and it has been saving them in the past but for
the past few days it has not. also, my emails do not get
to where they are supposed to go. is this an outlook
problem or a comcast problem? its really frustrating
