Seond MS Word window

My office is using Office XP with Windows XP. When a user opens word and then performs a find function for instance a secondary window opens with nothing in it except the find box. On the taskbar you even see a window appear and it just has the windows logo on it. This is happening with a few users now. The only commonality I can see is they all use Adobe 6.0 standard but I have removed the plug-in and the problem has come back. I have reinstalled multiple times with no luck. The window only appears as soon as you perform any function in Word when you close word it goes away.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
