I have an adp form (Form A) tied to SLL Server. Users normally select the
form from a different form (Form B) that lets them select a record's control
number, click a control button (DoCmd.Open Form... ) and Form A opens to the
correct record.
Sometimes, the Form A opens to the same record, regardless of which number
is selected on Form B. Like it gets stuck on a control nuimber. When this
happens, I go to Form A Properties, and notice that "SERVER FILTER" contains
a previously selected control number. When I delete that, Form A works fine
again.
Naturally this worries me. However, it SEEMS to only happen after I have
gone in and out of Design View several times (I am modifying Form A to work
in the new adp/SQL environment). If that's the case, everything shold be fine
when I give it to the users since they should not be doing any design changes.
But is that what is happening? Is there a way to prevent this SERVER FILTER
property from being set to a specific record and hanging things up? Thanks!
