I am getting an error message when i open my Microsoft
outlook at the client end that "can not start microsoft
office outlook, unable to open the outlook window, server
is not available, contact yout administrator".

Exchange 2000 is running at the Server and network
connectivity is alright.

Could u please advise me, what should i do!?

Ausaf!

Presuming your profile was set up properly - meaning, you're logged into the
domain with an account that has rights to that mailbox....
Can you ping the Exchange server by name (and get the FQDN in reply)?
AD DNS set up properly? As in, all servers and workstations should specify
*only* the internal AD-integrated DNS server's IP address in their network
settings. The AD-integrated DNS server should be set up with forwarders to
your ISP's DNS servers for external resolution. See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;300202 for more
info.
