Ben
I have setup our SQL server to create a view of a specific table in a MDB
file on our network. When I am logged into the server with my user name I
can run the view without problem through enterprise manager. When I attempt
to use the view using an ADP file on another machine that connected to the
SQL server, I get an error saying that I do not have permissons on the file.
The ADP uses NT authentication so it does pass my userID to the server, but
the server isn't using that id to access the network file.
What can I do to correct this? Is there a generic userID that the server
will use to attemp to connect to a file on the network?
thanks for any help!
