Setting different starting hours for tasks

M

mlbreen

I have a number of tasks that can all be done in one day but they are all
dependent on each other. The first task will take about 2 hours starting at
8am, the second task will take about 4 hours and will start at 10am, the
third and final task will take 2 hours and will start at 3pm. Is there a
simple way to adjust the starting times for these task without having to
adust the project calendar?

You must use logic to drive your task:
Pred. Succ.
Task 1 - FS-0 - Task 2
Task 2 - FS-0 - Task 3

You may have to add mew calendars as needed and assign them to task.

Hi mlbreen ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Just select all three tasks and then click the chain-link button on the
toolbar. This will schedule them one after the other. You do not need to
change any calendars to achieve this logical progression. Don't type in any
start times or dates. Tools/Options.../View tab allows you to select a Date
format that has times included.
