I'm using Project 2000 on a single PC with no shared resourses.
I've only just installed the software.
I have a project with about 150 tasks.
I've set up the start date for the whole project and allocated the time
required for each task and the resourse that will be used for the task. I've
set up all the dependancies i need and now i want to calculate when my
project will be finished. So I leveled my resourses. Some very strange
things happened with tasks i thought would stay together split appart by
several weeks.
So i removed the levelling and went back and set priorities on the various
tasks. I set high (600+) priority on tasks which were important and low
(100) on tasks which can wait to the end of the project (we might not do them
anyway so best to leave them to the end).
After resourse levelling again i now find that tasks with a priority of 600
are delayed by tasks with a priority or 100.
Is there a setting somewhere that i have to force project to take priority
into account when working out which task is performed first.
