"Setting text so it doesn't print"

A

Andrea

I am looking for a way to "white out" certain portions of text in my word document while printing. In other words, if i open the document i can see the text, but when i go to print it, you can't see the portion of text i "whited out."

Andrea,

Format the text as "hidden" (Format>Font>Hidden). Using Tools>Options>View
check "Hidden Text." With File>Print>Options>Include with document uncheck
"hidden text."

Hi, Andrea. One way to do this would be to select the text you want to "white out", then click on Format | Font | check the "Hidden" box. Then click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the "Hidden text" box | Print tab | uncheck the "Hidden text" box | OK.
