Hi,

We are running Project Server 2003 & Project Pro 2003. Project Server and
WSS is running on one box as we are piloting right now.

However we have noticed that when working in the Project Workspace
(Sharepoint sub web) all the dates appear in US format, even though our
server is set to UK locale and UK date format.

Can anyone advise how we solve the problem. I have seen a hotfix for Project
Server 2002 for this but would have assumed that this would have been built
into the latest version of the software and I can't find mention of any
hotfix for Project Server 2003.

Does anyone have any suggestions ? Maybe I have missed something.

Thanks

Hi Juhani,

This was helpful (sort of) but it implies that the date format can only be
set at the sub site level for all sites. Since we have hundreds of sites
(for hundreds of projects), I am looking for a global way of setting the
date format for all the sub sites in one go. At the very least I wan't to
be able to set this as the default for all future projects, and there should
be a way of setting this for all existing sites, even if this means creating
some sort of script.

Does anyone know if the date format value is set at the SQL level - maybe we
could run a script to change the values in the database for example ? I
guessing here (completely) but I would have thought that might be a way
forward.

Anyone know for sure ?

I can't believe Microsoft makes this so difficult for users - after all not
everyone lives in the US (Microsoft please take note).

Thanks

You can't (but see below). The architecture is that each site (and they mean
each sub-site too) can have it's own settings (which includes time zone and
languages).

What is worth checking is whether when you set this at the top-level it
rolls down through the lower levels.

I have a feeling that when I last did this I noticed that some lower sites
were set correctly after I'd (having already set some other lower sites and
to do that I had to alter them all) amended the top-level site.

(This was standard standalone WSS though)
