shifting gant chart dates

Project 2003
I have a project spanning about two years...I want the gant chart set up
with years as top row and months as bottom row...the project prints on 8
different pages, 11x17.
print preview shows first few months of 2008 only...fine on first few pages
when taks take place during that time frame...this is a problem, however,
with tasks on subsequent pages with dates at the end of 2008 and into 2009,
etc.

how do I get the view of the gant chart to shift with the tasks on that page
and show the corresponding dates? I don't want the gant chart to show the
entire span of the project (2008-2010) because it "scrunches" things too much.

does this make any sense to anyone?? help please...

Hi,

A near-solution could be that in Page Setup, View, you check Print first x
columns on all pages.

ok...but how does that help with the gant chart...I thought th column only
apply to the task text...???

Hi,

Indeed but it brings the essential text and parts of the Gantt Chart
together on the same page...
It's indeed not exactly what you ask for but that I do not see.
