shortcuts to office programs

In the past week I've been asked by two people how Microsoft Word got
deleted. They removed the shortcut from their desktop and it was also
removed from their list on the start up menu (under all programs). Both
users still have Word as they can open the documents that are saved on their
machines and they can create new documents.

Can you help me help them get MW back in their list of programs.

Open an Office application, click Help, Detect and Repair

rt click desktop
New>Shortcut
Browse to WinWord.exe

FWIW, Detect and Repair puts back the original "special" shortcuts
