Showing zero instead of blank

I have a report that I would like to show the value 0 (zero ) instead of
blanks
The source query does not have data for the items that show as blanks
The query sums up items by dates, and if nothing happened on a specific
date, there is no data for that dat, thus a blank appears on the report. I
would like to show a zero, so no one asks me why the date has no data.

This is a Currency field (dollars and cents)?
Set the Format property of the control to:

#,##0.00;-#,##0.00;0.00;\0

This is a Number field (no decimals)?
#,-#,\0;\0

Look up format Property + Number and Currency datatypes
to learn why this works.

Just my 2 cents worth. I believe that showing zero when there is no data is
misleading. Try setting the text box in the report to show "No Data" if there
is in fact no data.
