Shrinking m Pages to n Pages

Hi,

In Excel I can auto-shrink or expand m pages of text into n pages. How
do I do it in Word?

Regards,
Norman Zhang

You might want to post this in an Excel NG; this one is for Word.

I'm looking for this feature in Word. I used to able to do it in
WordPerfect too. I have 3 pages + 1 extra line on 4th pages. I think
there's an option that allows me to autofit them into 3 pages.

Norman,
Go to Print Preview, on the toolbar there is a button which will let you
shrink (fit to). Be aware that Word will decrease the point size of your
document text to accomodate. So it is not a good idea when you have too much
text on that last page.

You don't automatically. You can adjust font size and spacing,
interparagraph spacing and margins.

Also, you may be able to adjust your page margins (reduce from 1 inch to .7
inch)

I don't think it's ever claimed to do anything different in Word, but I've
not really experimented with it much since it's so arbitrary and
irreversible (I prefer to remain in complete control of my formatting).
