To temporarily turn off "snap to grid", hold down the Alt key while you
drag the picture. If you need to really fine-tune the placement of the
picture, left click once on the picture to select it, then click on
Format | Picture (or Object) | Layout | Advanced, and you can type in an
absolute horizontal and/or vertical position.

Alex,

First, make sure you have your desired wrapping settings chosen for the image. Then, if the picture is jumping when you move it, try one of the following:

Option A:
1 - Drag the image to the approximate location using your mouse
2 - Hold the Control key down on your keyboard and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to nudge it slightly into the proper location

Option B - Turn off or adjust the snap to grid settings
1 - Be sure your Drawing toolbar is on
2 - Click on the Draw button and choose Grid
3 - Uncheck the Snap objects to grid option, or adjust the grid settings as desired
4 - Click OK and you should now be able to drag things arond to practically any location without the jumping (snapping)

Good luck,
