Single spacing interpreted as double spacing

Whoosh

I used to use MS Word and save the document in html to publish to a
website. It was a simple site, just text and hyperlinks. No graphics or
images of any kind so it seemed to work ok. I'm trying Office 2007 so I
thought I'd try Microsoft Office Publisher to see if things were
easier/faster/better. I notice that when I'm copying the document that
was saved in Open Office Swriter the single spacing is often
misinterpreted by Microsoft into double spacing and the double spacing
becomes triple spacing. Are there any simple solutions to this problem?
Other than the spacing I think the conversion went ok.

Try selecting the text and select <Format <Styles
Clear the format and select the format you want
Save that as a custom style
In the future select the new text box and then select the new custom style
and the text will be formatted in the style you created

Use Notepad so you don't get that extra formatting before you paste it into
Publisher...or better yet just type your stuff in Publisher.
