Size of PUBLISHER files

B

Bob Krones

I use Publisher 2002, running under Windows 98, to print a
newsletter. I use the previous months issue as a template
for the current issue. The previous issue had a file size
of 1.4 MB. After I delete most of it's content, the file
size is still 1.4 MB. How can I make the file size smaller?

It is a bug in the Publisher file format that did not get fixed in Service
Releases.

I don't know yet if this issue has been fixed in Publisher 2003. I will
test it shortly and post back.

Bartostik are you that poorly educated you cannot read?

Suggest you go to India, Thailand or Malaysia to get a proper education.

Looks like he read just fine.

Suggest you go to the doctor to get a proper medical treatment. Valium
might be a good start.

Randall how come they let you out of the home?

Pity you cannot afford a decent power system or a proper mental health care
system in a third world country.

Perhaps you should look to migrating to a forward progressive country with
first class infrastructure like Malaysia.
On second thoughts, they only want first class specimens so that would well
and truly rule you out of the equation.

Publisher 2003 does not exhibit this issue of leaving junk behind after
deletion in the Publisher file.

Publisher 2003 is a significant improvement over Pub 2002.
