Slide background

Whenever we print PP slides to our HP 2500N Color printer, the slide
background prints slightly off white (almost tan) even though the
background is white. When we print the same slides to our
Fiery/Minolta color printer they print fine. Has anyone had this
problem, and more importantly, does anyone have a fix.

Thanks,

Larry,

First stop would be to check the background color is actually 100% white...e.g. 255 red green and blue.

Second stop would be to check that the printer driver for the hp2500n has all the "color correction/matching" options
turned off.

Third stop would be coffee.

TAJ:

Tried everything except the coffee, makes no difference. The
background still has about a 5% screen of yellowish grey. How else do
I tell PowerPoint to print white as white? Thanks.

Larry,

Next step would be a couple of tests to isolate the problem.

(1) Create a single slide in powerpoint
(2) Draw a white box (that really is white) with a black outline
(3) Draw a few more colored boxes (any color e.g. red blue green cyan brown orange cream)
(4) Print it to your two printers
(4b) Time for coffee
(5) Compare the results

Then repeat the same steps using another application....illustrator...word....etc
This will prove where the problem is.
If the problem happens with powerpoint and another app...then it's not powerpoint that's being a pain.

Report your results back here

Cheers
