slide show

I have created a power point slide show on my desktop. I saved it to my
memory stick so I could play it on my lapstop through a s-video cable. When
I start the slide show it starts fine then when it gets to the fifth slide it
goes blank and does not come back on until slide 9. So it plays 4 slides and
skips 4 slides. What do I have to do to fix this problem?

First, go to Slide Show > Set up Show. Under Show Slides section, see if
'All' has been selected.

Also, click View > Slide Sorter. See if any of the numbers have a line
crossed through the slide number. This means that the slides have been
hidden. If so, right click on the slides, click hide slide to de-select it.

Please tell me that you are using the stick for transfer from your desktop
PC to the desktop of your laptop, and not running the show from your stick.
Removable media (Sticks, Zips, USB HDDs, etc) will often corrupt a
presentation, avoid running a presentation from them. They are great
TRANSFER media.

That said, what is different about slide 5-8? If you swap slides 5-9 with
slides 1-4, what happens? Have you tried to round trip the presentation
through HTML? What version of PowerPoint? What OS? Are all the
Windows/Office/Video/Printer/DirectX drivers/updates current? Did Peter
Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers? Who shot JR? .... (other silliness
snipped)
