smart tags are turned on but cannot see it

i've turned on smart tags in office xp but i cannot see it in my document.
can anyone please help me? thanks.

Hi Rachelle,

Can you be morse specific on which app you're using
and what you're expecting to 'see'.

For example in Word 2002 (Office XP) if you have turned
on only Tools=>Options=>View [x] Smart Tags you wouldn't
see one if it wasn't in the document.

Check in Tools=>Autocorrect=>/Smart Tags\ to see if you
have turned on the Smart Tag labeling.

If you have turned on the Smart Tags for a person name
and then start a new blank document and type
Tom Smith <enter>
then hold your mouse cursor over that name you should
see the circled i Smart Tag Options popup.

Hi. I am using Word XP. I have done all the suggestions in the newsgroup but
I still couldn't see the smart tag, not even the purple line. Please help.
