Hope this is the right place for this question.
I have personal copies of OneNote 2003 and Project 2003. I installed them
(with permission) on my work laptop so that I can use those tools for my
classes and taking notes in meetings. The company just updated all the folks
in my department to office 2003, and things were going fine until last night.
I'm now locked out of all office applications, as if I never activated.
Here's the sequence of events:
1. Left the office, went to class.
2. Signed onto the university internet access
3. Opened Word, Opened OneNote.
4. Copied and pasted text from Word into oneNote
5. Exited oneNote and Word
6. Surfed the web for a bit
7. Launched oneNote at the start of class. Editing capabilities were disabled.
8. Launched Word and got the following message in the message bar:
"This modification is not allowed because the document is locked"
Does anybody know why this would happen? Is there a way that I can avoid
loosing the ability to edit documents in Office?
All help appreciated.
