Solution-Stuck Emails in Outbox, Outlook 2003

E

ELS

I've been having similar problems as others with emails
with attachments getting stuck in the Outbox. I've
received both Error 0X8004210B and 0X800CCC60. I finally
found something today on the McAfee website that finally
sent the email. This fix temporarily disables the Email
Scanning Process for outgoing emails. Just do this for
emails with large attachments. Go to your Task Manager,
Processes, click on MCVSESCN.exe and end the process. To
restart the process, go to Start, Run, Browse, C:\Program
Files\McAfee.com\VSO, and click on MCVSESCN.exe again to
start. The On-Access scanner from VirusScan will still be
active so you stay protected against viruses. Obviously,
this is for those running McAfee. To read more, go to
their website answer center and look under VirusScan,
Error Messages, Email Client Times Out.

Disable outbound scanning permanently - you only need it if you are infected
and if you use autoprotect you won't get infected.
