some receive - some dont !

I have a shaw email account - it works perfectly on my
desktop computer with Outlook 2002 - no problems at all.
I also access the same email account on my laptop (over a
wireless network) with Outlook 2003 & thats where the
trouble starts. Using Outlook 2003 i am totally unable
to send emails to certain addresses - for instance my
fathers email address in england (it is a pop3 email
account). However, when he sends emails to me i AM able
to receive them in both versions of Outlook. Also, from
Outlook 2003 i can send emails to my wife at work, but
when she tries to reply she gets a delivery failure
message. Also, when i send an email to my father (which
he does not receive) i get no warning message of any
delivery failure. I am still able to send and receive
emails to many email addresses from Outlook 2003 - it
just seems to not work with some email
addresses..........any suggestions anyone??

Make sure your settings are *identical* for your SMTP server on both
versions of outlook....

What does it say?

Thanks for the suggestions. The settings are totally
identical in both versions of Outlook. Originally they
were not, but i corrected them without any success. I
will try to replicate the error message (though i
remember it wasnt very informative)

I just tried a successful 'experiment' - On my laptop I
sent an email to my father using Outlook Express (which i
did not configure at all - it seems to have imported my
settings itself) and - hey presto - it worked !! So
Outlook express works but Outlook does not - which means
i am still stuck using two different email programs.
What could be causing this ?
