sound .wav in Powerpoint 2000

currently i'm using powerpoint 2000 to do a presentation. i had inserted a
..wav file in my presentation. when i send it to a friend or use another comp
to view the slide show, the .wav file doesnt play. why is it so? do i need to
put my .ppt and .wav in a folder n send it to my friend? or is there any
other way?

Since you are using wav file, I would recommend you to embed it to prevent
any linking problem instead.
