All my email and calendar alerts are not working since I upgraded to
Office Mac 2008. Help. I check my preferences and all the boxes are
checks but there are no sounds. all my other programs sounds are working.
Please search before posting in case your question has already been
asked and answered. This question is a very well known issue.
Microsoft has acknowledged the problem but has not yet announced a fix.
They have announced an Office 12.0.1 update to be released around March
11, but we do not know if that update will include the needed fix. No
workaround has been provided that exactly mimics the behavior of the
alert sounds although you can come close by creating rules to play sounds.
