Source copy of all messages automatically stored in C:\ (Outlook 2

Outlook 2000 automatically stores in C:\ a copy of every message received, in
source format. This happens when the messages are downloaded (upon
syncronisation).
This clutters C:\ enormously.
Where is this controlled from - can it be disabled?

Hi,
Did you every figure this out. I have the same issue on outlook 2003.. not
sure what is going on.
