Space bar does not delete selected sections.

I wonder why my space bar stop deleting \ erasing selected words or sections in word's documents when I press on it
I'm looking for the setting option that enable or disable this deleting function of the space bar. can someone help?

Hi,

The space bar _never_ deletes, it adds a space. Normally the delete key or
the backspace key will delete. Turn on display of nonprinting characters and
you'll find all sorts of spaces that you may have thought were deletions.
Sometimes it doesn't matter, other times it will cause you real headaches.

I suspect you have somehow turned off the editing option that typing
replaces selection. Tools > Options > Edit

Tools > options > edit > typing replaces selection.
