Spacing between lines manually adjusting them

How can I nudge, or move the lines of text closer together? I have tried the
line spacing tool and changed the numbers, and all that seems to do is cut
off part of the top of the text.

I want some of the lines close together and some farther. Does Publisher
2007 have that ability.
Thanks for any help.

How do you adjust just a SINGLE line of text. From what I can tell, if you
use the paragraph option, it formats the entire paragraph even if you
highlight just one line of text. I have two different fonts in a line, and I
want less space than is there.
Thanks.

There is no such entry. If you do line spacing under paragraph, it formats
only the entire paragraph, even if you select only one line. My question is,
how do I format a single line within a paragraph (usually the top or bottom
line). Using paragraph spacing does not work either.

I figured out a solution, altho it is a stupid way to have to do it. Create a
new paragraph. Then, it works.
