Spacing

Probably a very simple question. How do you include
spacing between fields? I am using the FILLIN code to
print on a preprinted carbon copy usda form. I like the
prompts it provides to update these fields but am having
trouble keeping the spaces correct between fields.

Any solutions?

If the use of the space bar between the fields doesn't help, you'll need to
explain better what you are doing and what goes wrong.

Have you tried setting TAB stops and putting a TAB
character between fields? Or putting the fields in table
cells so that they can only expand within the limits of the
cells?

The easiest way is to use the "Insert Word Field" and the
IF,then,else. If - <fieldname> "Comparison" <is not
blank> - then put just a space in "Insert this text".

To see this coding use ALT,F9 - hitting ALT,F9 a second
time hides this coding again.

Make sure you only put in one of these between fields.

Tried to respond once and it disappeared, so I'll try
again.

Use the "Insert Word Field". Select the "If...Then...Else"
use the If "fieldname" "Is not blank" "Insert this text"
and make the text simply a space.

Use the ALT,F9 to view the coding that you just put in -
it helps if you need to delete or change. Hitting ALT,F9
again will make the codes invisible again.
