specified default store could not be opened

Had problems today getting Outlook to connect to Exchange. Rebooted my
computer, no luck, rebooted the server (where Exchange resides), no luck,
rebooted my computer again, no luck.

Removed the Exchange account from the Accounts and added it back. It could
not resolve my name (or anyone else's in the office) when I used the name of
the server, but it did find the name when I put in the IP address instead.
But when I changed my delivery to Mailbox, it said the default store could
not be opened.

I can't get to my work email, does anyone know what is wrong?

Thanks, Amanda

Since it only worked by putting in the IP address it is very likely there is
something wrong with resolving names from DNS. Either the DNS server you are
connecting to has some issues or you have a network connection error
(hardwired or client-side firewall based most likely).

Thanks! I'd forgotten that when we were having problems with our new DSL
connection last week they (Sprint/Embarq) had me change the DNS on my
computer, so when I returned it to the internal DNS it works fine!
