Dear Friends,

I have this scenario. I use MPP 2007.

I have a task that is complete, but the SPI shows 0.79. The task data
looks as below -

Task Name BCWS BCWP SPI
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary Task $14,337.48 $11,337.48 0.79
Task A $11,049.98 $8,049.98 0.73
Task B $2,587.50 $2,587.50 1.0
Task C $700.00 $700.00 1.0

All tasks are complete. How can Task A have this data? Is this because
I might have deleted some tasks under the 'Summary Task'?

How do I correct this?

Thanks,
Prashanth

Set remaining work and remaining duration to 0.0.
Yes, if you delete a subtask, the baseline data still rolls up (actually, it
has already rolled up and stays in place).

If you want the summary tasks to rollup correctly after deleting tasks, you
should consider rebaseline of a portion of the schedule. Select the tasks.
When you rebaseline, select "only the selected tasks" and also check the box
to rollup.
Since the tasks are complete, your SPI will roll to 1.0.

The problem is you will be forgiving your cost variances as well. The way
around that is to 0 out your progress (and ACWP) data. Reset your basline,
then add your progress back in to include ACWP.

Hello Jim,

The remaining work and duration are already 0. I re-baselined this
portion of the schedule, with the option you suggested, but it did not
help either.

Any alternatives please?

Thanks,
Prashanth
