SPI - Project 2003

Good Day,

I have a project plan that I update on a weekly basis and I just
updated the % complete from the status reports I recevied. I then
displayed the SPI column and some of my tasks that are 100% complete
show an SPI of 0 some show an SPI 1 and others show an SPI of .46, .21,
..66

My understanding is as follows:
-- a task is 100% complete the SPI should be 1
-- a task is 0% complete the SPI should be 0
-- a task is 50% complete the SPI should be .50

I am talking about at the task level, not the summary task level.

Can anyone tell me how to fix the SPI's that are calculating wrong?
