Splitting a task between tasks

T

Tom

Hi
I am using Project 98 and have assigned 2 tasks to a resource. The resource
has done a portion of task A and is now going to complete task B before
finishing Task A.
I am trying to link the 2 tasks - therefore I want the finished portion of
Task A to link to the beginning of Task B and then to link back to the
unfinished portion of Task A.
Is this possible? I have been looking at the various possibilities and am
drawing a blank
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

Don't
Gibve a higher priority to the second task and do Resource Leveling, it will
split the tasks nicely.
Links tell you a task cannot be started unless a predecessor task is
finished, mostly because it uses teh output of teh predecessor tasks.
Resource conflicts are solved by Resource Leveling.
