Splitting one document into two

P

Patch

Hi how are you?

I was wondering if i have one document or file with 3 pages in it, but i
wanted to make page 3 of that document a seperate file just on it's own, is
that possible to do with pubplisher?

Thanks heaps Patchie.

Create a new blank file.

Select all on page 3 of your original file (Ctrl+A).

Copy (Ctrl+C)

Switch to the new file.

Paste (Ctrl+V)

Ohhhhhhh - is that what he meant? I thought he was asking how to have
one document but two files. No wonder it didn't make any sense.

I thought so, but your interpretation is just as valid :)

ok, that's cool - but you can't copy and paste layout guides, so if you can't
split one file and make it into 2 then does that mean you would have to go
into the layout guides and copy all of that stuff as well? just want to make
sure that this is the only way and their isn;t a quicker way of doing this.

thanks

Actually, I would do the SaveAs first from the original file
then delete the pages and save. That way if the OP screwed
it up by doing a save instead of SaveAs (after deleting the
pages) there wouldn't be a problem.

Better watch it, David. That's exactly what I would do.

Actually I would do the Save As before and save afterward, but it's the same
idea.

I would just delete the first two pages, and do a Save As with a new
name.
