Splitting Tasks and Problems

We don't have any actual problems. We installed Project Server 2003 on our
server to have an enterprise system for tracking projects. During that
installation process, something was mentioned by the consultant about
possible problems or issues with split tasks. I can't recall what they were
associated with. I was trying to find out if anyone had any problems
relating to split tasks. So far, we don't. At least none that are apparent.

I would rather ask "what are good ways to use 'task splitting'?". I've never
used the feature much, we use msp at a very minimal level. However I would
say splitting the task to resuchedule remaining work is a good option. Any
more?
