Please I need recommendation as to how to go about getting a certificatioon
for SQL? I have been working for Access for a while now but in order to
move up I need to be proficient in sql. Can someone please give me some
advice as to what kind of SQL to learn? Mysql, SQL Server 2005 etc? where
can I find some practice tests? etc. Thank you very much for any
information you can provide.

SQL Server is the most popular engine.

And it works great with MS Access. Have you considered Access Data
Projects?

I think that ADP is a great tool for JET people to start developing
enterprise-ready applications.

I've got my DBA (MCITP: DBA) certification and I love it.
They are coming out with the new 'Masters' program.. Master of SQL
Server, I don't know the exact name.

I expect to be one of the first 1,000 people that pass that test, for
sure.

I'll probably go for one of the Business Intelligence certifications
(Analysis Services, Reporting Services).
Access doesn't even support Business Intelligence.

ROFL

as if a book is going to do the trick!!!

if you're in Seattle, look to www.sqlsoft.com
They rock; I always enjoy their courses.

Or go to your local community college. Every Community College out
there focuses on SQL Server, because that is where all the jobs are.
I mean, it's the most popular database, as demonstrated at www.microsoft.com/sql
