SR-1 Installer

I am running Office 2000. I loaded it and the Service
Packs, including SR-1.

Now whenever I open ANY Office product the Windows
Installer pops and and wants to configure SR-1. This
happens every time I open any office problem, not just
one for each product.

Any help out there???

I’ve had similar issues. My work around was to temporarily assign that user
to the administrators group and then open one of the Office programs. It
gave the user the access they needed to the system to finish the installation
steps. Just remember to take them back out of the Administrators group when
you’re done.

message and when you click OK on that error message does
the configuration window try again but goes away only after
you click the Cancel button only to reveal word ready to go?

If the configuration window displays along with an error
and you click the error windows "OK" button which then
leaves the configuration window wherein you click the
"Cancel" button, does windows word display anyways? Is this
a part of Works Suite 2001?

If so, go ahead within Works Suite and find the "Programs"
link at the top of it's window and click it then find
"Word" and click the link to thre right called "Start a
blank Word document". Word will then configure itself for
that account.
