Start and finish times change automatically

I am having problems getting the start and finish times of my tasks to stay
the same. The work day has been changed to 5:00 am to 5:00 pm and the time
frame that I am trying to get is 1.5 hour duration from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM.
Whenever I leave the fields, the program is changing my start/finish times to
8:00 AM/9:30 AM. Any suggestions on how to get it to keep my times?

You said you changed the work day time. I assume you did that under
Tools/Change Working Time. But did you also change the definition of a
work day under Tools/Options/Calendar tab? The latter affects how
Project displays values in the Duration field.
