Status bar problem

My Word 2003 status bar does not show any items, but when I double-click on
it, GO To dialog box opens.

My Word 2003 status bar does not show any items, but when I double-click on
it, GO To dialog box opens.

In which view are you? And which version of Word?

Generally, the left section of the toolbar is assigned to the "Go to" dialog
box (I can see that by hovering the mouse over it).

Odd, that the status bar doesn't show any items? What DO you see in the Status
Bar?
