Mr . .

Anyone know how to prevent a slide from advancing until the movie clip on
the previous slide is completed?

On the slide that has teh movie, add an object off the slide. Give that
object any animation and set the animation to happen after previous (in
other words after the movie finishes). Since when you run the presentation,
the slide won't advance until the aniamtions finish, this should cause teh
effect that you want.
