Stop Closed Outlook 2007 STILL downloads my POP3 mail.

Does anyone know how i can stop Outlook 2007 from downloading my pop3 mail
even when its not running. I close outlook but leave the PC on, Outlook will
still download any mail and i need to stop it from doing it as i check my
pop3 mail from various sources during the day.

Tools => Send/Receive => Send/Receive Settings => Define Send/Receive
Groups...=> select "All Accounts" and Edit...

Should you wish to download the POP3 account at end of day, then you will
need to create another Send/Receive Group Name.
