Stop notifications to resources from specific project

We have been using Project Web Access to assign tasks and
track resource hours against tasks, but the specific
project will not be used going forward. We don't want to
delete or move the project file just yet, but want to stop
the email notifications to the resources about overdue
tasks on this project. What is the best way to do this?
The Options, Collaborate tab shows "Collaborate using:
Microsoft Project Server" and I cannot change this option
to "none".

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Valerie.

I believe you have several options to solve this problem:

1. The obvious solution is to reschedule the uncompleted work into the
future. Then can be done by opening the project in question, then clicking
Tools - Tracking - Update Project, selecting Reschedule Uncompleted Work to
Start After _____, and then specifying a date in the future when work on the
project is likely to resume. After you have done so, you will need to click
Collaborate - Publish - All Information to publish the latest schedule and
assignments to PWA. This should eliminate the overdue task reminders for
this project.

2. An alternative method would be to save this project as an .mpp file to a
network share, then to ask your Project Server administrator to delete the
project from the Project Server database. This will certainly eliminate the
overdue task reminders. When the project is ready to resume, you can import
the project back into the Project Server database using the Import Wizard,
and then publish it again.

These are two ideas. Perhaps the others will have some thoughts as well.
Hope this helps.
