Student licence for Office 2000 Pro

Paul Goddard

Four years ago I purchased a student licence for Office 2000 Pro. I
installed it on my Windows 98 homebuild, and it's worked fine ever since.

I've recently purchased a laptop, and the student licence states that I
may make a further copy of the software for use on a portable computer.
I have two concerns before I go ahead and install on the new machine:

Are there likely to be any problems in installing and running Office
2000 on a Windows XP machine?

I intend to network the two computers and share .doc and .xls files
between them. Will there be a problem running two machines with the same
licence on the same network?

An alternative would be to install Microsoft works on the new machine. I
think it's included in the software disc that was provided and,
presumably, it would enable me to edit .doc and .xls files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I know for a fact that Office 2000 will work on XP.
I doubt you'll have any other problems.
