We have an InfoPath form that has three submit buttons. The first button
causes the form to be e-mailed to the next person, who then selects the
second button that causes the form to be e-mailed to the next person. And so
on...
The data is stored in the form. We really don't want the form to be passed
around in e-mail. Instead, we would like for a user to click on "fill out
new form" in the SharePoint document library and have an option to submit,
which would then save the form to the document library and send just a
notification e-mail to the next person. Then, that person can click on a
link that opens the form from the SharePoint document library for him/her to
approve by clicking a button or digitally signing or whatever. That would
then overwrite the previous version of the form and send an alert to the next
person. And so on...
Does that make sense? Am I posting this to the correct forum? Is this even
possible in SharePoint 2003?
Thanks,
Lee
