Subtask Deadline Summary

Hi,

I want to build a report that shows the project track and all the sub tasks
within the track and thier finish deadline. I want to build a table and
custom report so I can print this up weekly and pass out to the developers on
the team.

In Project2003, try View/Reports and then select a new Custom report. I don't
think Deadline date is a reporting option. The options are pretty self
explanatory if you compare it to another report.

Other than that, if you have a specific question, please ask it. We'll be
happy to assist.

You need to build a view with the following fields -
%Complete, Task Name, Baseline Start, Baseline Finish with this you can
track your tasks listed in the plan or can export these fileds into excel to
send it to the team.

So I work in product development and my project tracks usually consist of 5
summary tasks. They are: concepts, r&d, sourcing, formula/clincal testing,
and creative.

I want to build a custom report that shows the following

name of track
concept summary task (end date)
r&d summary task (end date)
Sourcing summary task (end date)
Formula/clinical testing (end date)
creative (end date)

I want this to be a report that I can save that I can print it out weekly
for the developers. This way they will be able to know what date they need to
be done with that summary task and on to the next.

This may be a bit "brut force" but it will meet your needs.
On the filter dropdown, select "Summary Tasks". Or, if you like, insert a
column Flag1 and change the value to "yes" for those tasks you want shown.
On the AutoFilter, set Flag1 to show only the yes value.

Next to the task name, drag (or insert) the [Finish] colum.
In the Page Setup (File/Page Setup...) configure to only show the first two
columns (Name and Finish).
Print.
