Suddenly can't save my work

I am using Publisher 2000 SR-1. When I try to save my work anywhere, i get
the message " the folder xxxx.xxx isn't accessible. The folder may be
located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password". I am only
trying to save a relatively small file to my "my documents" folder.

Your folder has an extension? "xxxx.xxx" ??? If so, try saving to a
different folder.

No, I was using a generic term. I can't save anywhere period.

Save As with a different file name.
Dump your temp files
