Suddenly lost emails

Hi all,

I'm using outlook 2000 and have two pst files loaded (outlook1.pst,
outlook2.pst), suddenly one day when I started outlook and a dialogue
showing (translating from my memory) "mail sending path has changed and
the links were lost, do you want outlook to rebuild the links?"

Clicking "no" would show a blank Outlook inbox contents... Restarting
outlook would show the same dialogue box again, seems nothing was fixed...

Clicking "yes" would ask you to enter a new pst file name (I created a
outlook3.pst), looks like it's going to use a new pst file... but where
are my old 1000+ emails? I opened both outlook1.pst and outlook2.pst,
only outlook1.pst showing the emails, but not those I wanted,
outlook2.pst showing empty mailboxes...

Checked the archive.pst files, but my emails were not there...

I tried to use Inbox repair tool to fix my outlook2.pst and outlook
1.pst, it found errors on outlook2.pst, after I fixed it and opened it
in my outlook, I found it containing the same emails with outlook1.pst
(even same file size with outlook1.pst, around 1.2G). Where are my emails?

I have backups of the pst files and I tried to restore with them, but my
emails were still missing....

Can anyone help me finding my emails?
