Suspending a task assignment

Does anyone know of a way to effectively "unassign" or otherwise prevent a
resource from continuing to charge time against a task once their duties are
completed? (We're using Proj Server 2003.) Thanks for any help!

This is a training and performance issue. Train your people not to enter
time against completed tasks and then hold them accountable for this
behavior. Hope this helps.
